*Junior golfers aged 9 and under must be accompanied by an adult on the Golf Course and the Practice Facilities. All junior golfers may play at times listed in the Junior Golf Playing Schedule.*

RULES FOR JUNIOR GOLFERS
The playing schedule for the golf course applies to the Driving Range Restriction on the amount of driving range bags per day (3 bags per day).

FARIBAULT GOLF CLUB JUNIOR CLINICS
PURPOSE:  The purpose of the junior program is to provide juniors the opportunity to learn the game of golf and develop lifelong golfers. This is done through instruction, learning the rules, and etiquette of the game. They will have the opportunity to advance their skills and have a great time doing it.

SCHEDULE:  Thursdays starting June 19th and running thru July 24th with July 31st as a make-up day. The Junior Club Championship will be held on August 16th.

Within each day there will be discussion and testing on the rules and etiquette of golf, instruction on the full swing, chipping, pitching, bunker shots and putting.

JUNIOR TEAM LEAGUE:
For the 14 – 17 year old juniors our goal is to provide a more competitive atmosphere and get away from the “fun & games” of the junior clinics. Teams will be formed based on the number of participants. Each team will have a staff person as their captain. These captains will be Pete, Nate, Grant, & Jordan. The team captains will hold captain practices and make the pairings for each match. The schedule will follow the same dates as the junior clinics; however, the time has changed from starting at 7:00 AM instead to follow the junior clinics at 11:00 AM. Those who participate in the Junior Team League will also be required to assist in the monitoring of play for the younger junior golfers prior to playing there matches. Points will be given out each week for the matches and at the end of the year the team with the most points will be awarded the team championship.

FEES: $65.00 per junior, this includes; instruction on all facets of the game, etiquette and rules discussions, weekly prizes and a year end Parent/Junior tournament and banquet (August 10th). The little linksters fee is $45 per junior.

If you do not want to be a part of the instructions there will be a fee of $5.00 to cover the weekly prizes. Each week a different event for the golf will be ran to expose the kids to different formats and ways to play golf.

NEW FOR 2008! PRO/JUNIOR LESSON SERIES:
New to Faribault Golf Club is the Pro/Junior Lesson Series. This new and exciting lesson program is geared to the player who aspires to take their game to the next level. For a fee of $50, each junior will receive two one hour lessons and play two 9 hole rounds with Assistant Golf Professional, Pete McAfee. Instruction will cover the long game and the short game. While playing Pete will cover course strategy, rules of golf, and etiquette. Maximum number of participants per series is three. Scheduling of Pro/Junior Lesson Series will be based upon Pete’s and the junior’s schedule.
